I want our working experience to be very positive, and I’ll bend over backwards to make sure this happens. Reading this section will help you determine if we’ll be a good fit for each other.

  • I thrive on honest, open, clear, no B.S. communication. My clients tell me I give 101% and am friendly, ethical, dedicated, and professional to work with.

 

  • I usually choose to work on only one project at a time, so your creative copy work has my undivided attention. No other distractions means focused, clear, high quality copy for you.

 

  • I answer my emails and phone calls the same day or the next business day. I don’t work weekends or holidays and rarely check my emails during those times.

 

  • If I request something from you and you get it back to me promptly I will stay on deadline and give you what I promised, when I promised it. It’s that simple. My goal is to finish your project quickly so you can get going with it. I work first, play later.

 

  • I do not work with “copy committees”.  If my copy is going to be reviewed, sliced, diced and re-written by several people, we will not be a good match.  Please understand that I am the copywriting expert and although I’m open to suggestions, very often changing just ONE single word or sentence in your copy will destroy the concept. It will not be as effective. That I guarantee. It doesn’t matter if YOU like the copy, what matters most is that it SELLS! You are hiring me as the expert, so trust that I know what I’m doing.

 

  • I strongly believe that you never cut copy to fit the design. You redo the design to accommodate the copy. Words sell---pictures only support the words—especially on the internet.   If I give you killer persuasive sales copy and you do not choose to take my recommendations about formatting, placement and other subtle but critical aspects…your copy will sink like the Titanic.  Part of my fee includes working with your designer to assure this process goes smoothly. This is especially true if you have a hard-to-comprehend or an expensive product or service.

 

  • I’ll need a detailed client Q&A form from you which I provide. I’ll then review this form and all other materials requested then thoroughly study everything I can about your target market.  I need to have a keen understanding of your market and exactly what you want your copy to accomplish.

 

  • I strongly recommend tracking your on-line responses and advertising efforts with Google Analystics which is free or using Premium Web Marketing. By doing so you’ll be able to know firsthand how many hits and conversions (sales) you are receiving on your site and where to spend your advertising dollars to generate the most traffic.

 

  • I only write copy for clients with high quality products or services to sell. If you are selling “scams”, pornography, MLM, foreign currency rip-offs, or anything that would hurt people or animals in any way, I am positively NOT your copywriter.

 

  • All of my work is original and sent to you as a Microsoft Word Document.

 

  • I accept Master Card, Visa, checks, and money orders and require 50% of my total fees upfront for all projects over $1,200. The remaining 50% is paid after you receive your 1st round of copy. If a project is under $1,200.00  I receive payment in full at the start.

 

  • I will have you complete and sign a work agreement, regardless of the size of your project. No work will begin until the deposit, Q&A, and work agreement are returned to me. This protects both of us and assures you are working with a dedicated professional and not a flakey freelancer who is going to take your money and run.

 

  • I don’t negotiate my fees so please don’t ask me to. Refer to the Bulldog Fees section for answers to all of your questions about my fees.
